Narrative is explored theoretically
and in practice.
You’ll be set projects that require you to consider the:
- speaker
- audience
- information and sources
- ‘tone of voice’ in word, form and image
- reference for the narrative form (literature, film, painting, theatre…)
- structure of the story or stories
- desired visitor, audience or user takeout
- measurement of success and failure.
As the course progresses, you’ll explore the characteristics of a
range of narrative forms: from literature to theatre, painting, music and
architecture. By comparing and contrasting these characteristics, you’ll
evolve new narrative tools for your discipline, whether you’re a designer,
writer, filmmaker, project manager or curator telling stories in space. |
