My CV (word)

Floodproof

Climate change, rising sea levels and increasing volatility in global weather systems suggest London may well be subject to extensive flooding by 2050.

Concept: Floodscape, a European Community Initiative, launches its worldwide search for waterproof eco-solutions at the Barge House, London. The installation, Floodproof, is an experiential journey through a future floodwater scenario. It invites the audience to participate as heroes of this unwritten story, calling on architects, engineers, designers and local communities to contribute new solutions

to safeguard London. The installation features design concepts from floating buildings, bridges, underwater transport or solar powered garments that have been customised to meet the changes ahead.

It is proposed that Floodproof travels to all the g8 countries to prompt action to sustain our fragile world.
