My expertise
Architecture

My focus
Cultural and commercial environments, including urban interventions, exhibition design and retail design

My placement
Muf: Architecture Art
My placement at muf architecture / art has given me the opportunity to see how two disciplines can collaborate and benefit from each other's expertise. During my time at the office, I worked closely with the artist where we designed a school playground for outdoor teaching. The experience has also raised my interest on public spaces and helped me focus on the direction that I want to take in the future.

My CV (pdf)

Place making in Transit

is a new design concept for the bus stops along the Number 38 route from

Victoria Station in Central London to Hackney in the East End. Instead of being conceived as purely functional spaces, the bus stops are treated as a visual narrative that marks a trajectory through the city. In addition they provide a space for artists from local minorities along the bus route to tell their stories through their work. The distinctive bus stop structures not only provide shelter but also create temporary exhibition space, informing and entertaining the queuing bus passengers.

By redefining the meaning of the bus stop I want to encourage greater use of public transport and open the way for it to become a more integrated part of public life.
