This was an international project. MA students at Central St Martins (Creative Practice for Narrative Environment, Communication Design and Industrial Design) collaborated with their peers from a leading college in the US, the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. The aim was to create a visual commentary on the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and US in terms of popular culture. Language, stereotypes, music, sub-cultures and contemporary fears were some of the topics explored.

Groups communicated through email and webcams. The results will be published online and it’s intended to hold reciprocal exhibitions in England and the US.

The competition poster was circulates to 120 MA students.
