About Urban Green Line
The Urban Green Line tags green spots in grey cities with one collective graf: a simple green line. As a green trail running through the city, the Urban Green Line connects communities to green spaces and sustainable organisations — encouraging walking, co-creation and gardening along the way.  The Urban Green Line map is for everyone who wants to share their green experiences and encourage others to do the same. Green lines are tagged by our community and add up to an emergent system of green lines, viewable on the map. As both a symbol and a guidance system, the Urban Green Line creates a strong visual and environmental impact — each green line adds to a better city.
 
The Urban Green Line was started by an eclectic group of (East) Londoners and is open to everyone. The collective has received phase 1 funding from UnLtd and won the London ‘Sustain our Nation’ Award from the Audi Design Foundation in 2010.
