Biruta at Beirut Design Week


Second Year student Maya Merhi’s project Biruta will launch at Beirut Design Week.

Biruta is an audio walk that guides visitors through seven sections of Beirut, blending fictional and factual narratives. Come and experience the multifaceted soundscape overlaid with your own exploration of the urban environment, and read the city afresh.

Island Board Walk Trail


Head to the Isle of Dogs to explore Anna Lincoln’s Narrative Environments final year project and join in the rediscovery of the Isle of Dogs heritage board walking-trail, first installed 20 years ago, now updated to feature unseen archive images and personal accounts of island life from the locals who tell it best.

Central Saint Martins, UAL have created a web-based interactive installation for la Rinascente at Milan Salone 2016.

Ryan Lewis, Simon Banos and Pei-Hsin Chen (students from BA Architecture and MA Narrative Environments at CSM) were commissioned by la Rinascente to design a public interactive piece running 12–18 April during the Milan Salone.

Malta – Fort Saint Elmo Challenge


MANE First year went to Malta in February and here they were challenged by the Fort Saint Elmo workshop.

The aim of the challenge was to practice decoding, analysing and evaluating implicit and explicit narratives embedded in the museum at Fort Saint Elmo. And to use the insights gathered to generate propositions on alternative uses for the nearby vaults in Lower Saint Elmo.

MA Narrative Environments Graduates


MA Narrative Environments extends and enhances employment opportunities in sectors such as exhibition, event, retail and interpretive design, visitor centre development, curating, scripting and creative direction, film and TV production, architecture, new media and interaction design, brand development and design for corporate environments. Our graduates find work in many different fields and we have a substantial network of alumni across the world who can offer advice and employment to new graduates.

Work in Progress Show 2016


Work in Progress Show has been held at CSM. The exhibition was an opportunity for students to get feedback on their Major Project proposals. There were also work in progress on show from MA Materials Futures, MA Industrial Design, MA Arhcitecure, Cities and innovation and MA Communication Design.
