Students were set the challenge to inspire and transform people´s perception of a Canal Museum on Camden Locks in London, UK and its area, and to attract younger visitors.
By challenging several identified conflicts in perception of the Canal Museum (that it was only open during the day and targetted an older population of visitors), the team proposed to create an exciting experience for customers who would be able to travel in an ice cube along the canal from Camden to the museum through several themed tunnels.
The Canal Museum would be transformed into the 'Canal Museum Inn'; opening the museum after dark; giving the visitors lanterns to explore
the dimmly lit space; have a drink; a snack, and enjoy the exhibition as part of a wider experience.
