Academic Projects

Larnaca - The Outdoor Gym

Brief
Design a luxury fitness and wellness experience that takes advantage of both the natural geography and the urban environment.

Research and Key Insights
Larnaca is a gateway City. Due to the busy international airport, port and marina, it is very well connected externally. However, internally the city is disconnected. It is hard to navigate and lacks cohesion and order.

Concept
Convenience - Connectivity - Exploration

Larnaca - Rough Luxury in Larnaca

Brief
The brief was to come up with a ‘rough luxurious holiday experience’ in Larnaca (Cyprus). Part of this project was the one-week field trip to the location. We came up with an ‘upmarket squat’: a hotel that moves 2 months a year into an empty house, drives in the portable luxurious beds, bathrooms and furniture, and rents the rooms at ridiculously high prices.

The Dandelion Project

The project brief was to redesign the outpatient waiting area in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel while addressing the theme of damage.

To convey compassion and respect for the issue of damage in each patient and the community, the hospital gives a seed of opportunity to contribute to the health and well being of the entire community that, in turn, benefits the patient.
