Yiquan Wang, born in Beijing, graduated from Beijing International Studies University with a BA in Journalism. He also studied Visual Communication at Central Academy of Fine Arts. With enthusiasm in contemporary art, he had traineeship in museums and working experiences with artists. Now he studies MA Creative Practice for Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins
Wang's expertise is in interview, writing, thinking and collaborating. His experiences including internship as a exhibition coordinator in Today Art Museum, assistant to the curator for INTRO Beijing Electronic Music Festival, NPC Assistant for Beijing Paralympic Games.
The four years studies in Journalism department nurtured Wang high social responsibilities. He focuses on telling stories in cultural spaces and asks what art can do to promote the society. He is interested in fine art practice, curating and art politics. He is now practising his art in London.
